The discussion on Greensboro and Guilford County government will be elevated a notch on June 24, when three distinguished North Carolinians will offer their thoughts on local government leadership. The event, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Empire Room, is the first in a four-part series called “Getting Things Done in Greensboro.” Action Greensboro is the sponsor.
On the panel are:
• Mike Smith, dean of the School of Government at UNC-Chapel Hill.
• Harry Jones, Mecklenburg County manager.
• John Alexander, former president of the Center for Creative Leadership.
