WUNC inaugurated its Greensboro presence today with a live noon broadcast of “The State of Things,” with host Frank Stasio leading a conversation with Greensboro journalists and editors.
On hand at Triad Stage were former News & Record reporter Jim Schlosser, journalist and blogger Ed Cone, Carolina Peacemaker editor Afrique Kilimanjaro, News & Record editorial page editor Allen Johnson, Business Journal executive editor Justin Catanoso, and John Hammer, editor of The Rhinoceros Times.
Today’s edition of “The State of Things” will be rebroadcast at 9 p.m. on WUNC (91.5 FM). On Friday, the show again originates from the third-floor Upstage Cabaret at Triad Stage and includes a discussion with scholars and artists, as well as a live musical performance. Triad Stage also hosts WUNC’s permanent Greensboro studios, which will be staffed by reporter Jessica Jones.
