Right brain, left brain

Joe Erba’s passion is getting artists to think more like business people and getting folks in business to appreciate and think more like artists. Erba, who spent a career in the furniture industry before joining the Bryan School of Business at UNCG, says the former is easier than the latter.
Erba recently took part in symposia on design and creativity at High Point University and Wake Forest University, where he called for more blending of right-brain and left-brain talents. He firmly believes that well-rounded liberal arts graduates are an underused resource for businesses and that, with a bit of business background, artists can follow their bliss and be successful members of the business community.
He sees it happening in downtown Greensboro.
