Green gets organized
Posted by AG under: Green .
People around here getting more serious about green building. Proponents have formed the Piedmont Triad Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
Its mission: To be an educational resource and advocate for the advantages of green building. The group already has more than 200 members, including representatives of leading construction and architecture firms.
Meetings — free and open to all — are at 3 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at The Moose Cafe (which is a feature of one of the greener sites along I-40). The topic for April 10 is LEED homes. Anne Tambling and Marty Marion, partners in Metropolis Architecture of Winston-Salem, are the speakers.
(Thanks to Greening Guilford for the tip).
