We’re No. 1, according to Site Selection Magazine, and for the second year in a row.
The Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) ranks first in the nation in new business attraction for metro areas with populations between 200,000 and 1 million people.
New facilities and expansions by the likes of Honda Aircraft Co., RFMD, Procter & Gamble, Lenovo and others pushed our MSA to the top.
The bottom line? Bragging rights and, according to Dan Lynch of the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, a growing awareness of “all that we have to offer in our region.”

This was great news! Also, don’t forget that Lexington-Thomasville was the #1 micro!

I applaud the magazine’s rankings, however, I think we can do better in job creating and company attractions. There are A LOT of people still out of work in this county (me included)–not manufacturing-related.
